Review of how to form "ih": Open your mouth and smile slightly. Raise your tongue about half way up inside your mouth. Your tongue tip should be just behind your lower front teeth. As you say the sound, your tongue will raise up a bit and then go back down. Keep your tongue relaxed.

As they approached the jewelry store, John pointed hisfinger at it and motioned for Mary to go inside. She was a littlebit nervous, because she had been hoping to get her engagement ring for a long time now. When they went in the store, her eye caught sightof the ring she wanted. It was big, but not too expensive. Mary sat down on the chair as she tried it on, and decided it was the right one for her. John paid the bill and they walked happily out of the store together.
